Mr. Harris was very welcoming and told us all about the park. Beautiful campground and close to the interstate.
We loved camping at Little Pee Dee State Park in August 2017. Sadly, one of the hurricanes took out the dam on their lake. Consequently, all the water is gone. Even though there wasn't a lake, we enjoyed all of the hiking trails as well as the peace and tranquility. The rangers, David and Rowdy, were incredibly friendly and helpful. A great place to relax and unwind. If you're looking for lots of amenities and things to do, this is not a place for you. If you want peace and quiet and a place to relax then you'll love it.
Good walking trails picnic area and restrooms were reasonably clean.Not very good lighting in the restroom
Very nice area and very quiet. Only 4 other campsites is use during our week there. The lake was drained due to hurricane damage, so there is an area of grass/plants growing where the lake was. I guess that is why there were so few campers there. Has clean bath house with sinks, toilets and showers with hot and cold water. There are heaters for winter, but no fans for hot weather, so bath house can get steamy during the day. Little Pee Dee is just over an hour away from Myrtle Beach and is close to Florence, Dillon and Marion. We will definitely come back again.
